Me at my sister's wedding in 2004

My sister Monica, her husband Mike, and daughter Amanda weeks before she died of Cancer.

My mother and I when I was 18. She did the greatest job raising my sister and I on her own. She died of cancer 4 years after Monica died.

Filming by Ken — Where Heart, Community, and Purpose Meet

Before Filming by Ken, I created and ran Computer Dads, helping residents with their technology in their homes. It was never about sales or contracts — it was about trust, patience, and genuine care for people. Word of mouth built everything I had, one visit, one family, one handshake at a time. I never needed ads or cold calls. People met me, saw my work, and believed in me — and that was enough.

When my wife and I finally became pregnant through IVF at 34, it felt like a miracle. After years of heartbreak, I knew I wanted to live a life where family came first. I made the decision to leave the traditional workplace and work for myself — not for comfort or money, but to be present. To have time for what truly mattered.

It wasn’t an easy road. There were doubts, setbacks, and moments I questioned everything — especially when COVID hit. Overnight, the work I’d built and the connections I’d nurtured were gone. I spent years chasing interviews and hearing I wasn’t what people were looking for. That broke something in me for a while.

Along the way, I also faced deep personal loss — my sister in 2010 and my mom in 2014. Those years changed me. They reminded me how fragile time is and why memories matter. Every time I film, I think about the moments I wish I could still share with them. It’s why I do what I do: to help others hold onto the moments that matter most.

But I’ve learned that struggle doesn’t mean failure — it means growth. The world changed, and so did I. I found peace in adapting, creating, and giving back.

Today, Filming by Ken isn’t just about cameras and sports — it’s about listening through the lens. It’s about capturing stories, preserving memories, and celebrating people. From youth and high school sports to family celebrations, I film because I care — because every moment deserves to be remembered.

Life continues to be a struggle, but that’s okay. I’ve made peace with it. I keep filming, helping, and showing up — because that’s who I am.

🎥 About Ken

Hi, I’m Ken — a retired local guy who loves filming youth and high school sports.

Back in 2012, I started showing up with a camera to capture games, plays, and moments that matter to families. I didn’t do it for money — I did it because I enjoy it. I still do.

Filming keeps me active, creative, and connected to the community. It lets me give something meaningful without asking for anything in return.

I’m not a company. I’m not an influencer. I’m just someone who’s proud to be part of this town — behind the camera, cheering on the kids, and preserving memories.

Thanks for having me around.
